It just might become your new favorite tool in your writer’s toolbox. First, what is Vellum 2.0? Vellum is a WYSIWYG interior formatter for ebooks and now print books. It allows you to import your finished manuscript and style it using built in themes that can be used as they are, or mixed and matched, all in real time. An old Dell QuietKey is new again

I'm still managing to keep up with my word count for NaNoWriMo, but the other day I found myself thinking back to the good old days of the IBM model M keyboards. They had such a wonderful clicky tactile feel. Yes I said clicky. They were truly fantastic keyboards and were built like tanks. I found out that a company called Unicomp holds the patents to the old M's and is making new versions. While I think that's fantastic, I just couldn't justify laying down close to $100 on a keyboard for myself right before the holiday season. So imagine my delight when I came across an old Dell QuietKey that I had gathering dust on the top shelf of my closet.

The Dell QuietKey isn't quite on the same level as the model M, but for a keyboard with plastic switches and no springs it's about as good as it gets. A simple boardcode tutorial

Next, type your subject in the Subject line. For regular lesson posts, use your first name or username followed by the lesson number and word count. For example, if you were posting lesson one in your classroom and you had a total word count of 475, your subject line might be something like F2K_User's Lesson One (WC 475).
Choosing a Topic icon is not necessary, but if you would like to do so, just click the radio button next to the desired picture.























Now you can start typing your post up in the editor. Alternatively, you may copy and paste from a text document directly into the editor. Just be aware that your formatting may be altered. Luckily this forum uses Boardcode so you can add formatting to your posts.
